Curtis was if anything a family man, and a giving man.
He loved his family and extended family and that reflected in everything he did. He was tough yet had a sensitive loving and very giving way about him..I know he will be missed by so many as he touched so many in his adventurous life. My heart goes out to all of his children and grandchildren. Dakota and Larry you will be forever impacted by his undying love for you both. Prayers to all....

Curtis, we are truly grateful to have you in our lives! You were the best Papa and always there when we needed you. I was always in awe of the stories about your life and family. Cydnee enjoyed doing her 5th grade Veteran report about her Papa! We will miss you greatly. I'm so sorry for all your family and friends.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Large Family.
I echo much of the sentiment about Curtis that has already been shared. I had the pleasure of meeting Curtis through two of his sons, Larry and Randy back in 1984 in Arizona. I worked with both boys and Randy and I eventually went off to college at Arizona State University. Curtis was a proud man, a very kind man who literally would give you the shirt off his back! He had a great sense of humor, had a good poker face and yet he had "smiling eyes." One thing I can tell you is that he was so proud of each of his boys! His loyalty, patience and support with the boys never waivered, and yes it was tested time and time again! He always remained steady and true to each son. That's what I remember about my friend Curtis!

I got to know Curtis very well over these last 5 or 6 years helping with his backhoe needs. I was amazed at everything he had going on and he seemed to be a very giving and loving man. He will be greatly missed.
