Heather was born May 21, 1984 in Olathe, KS to James Carl and Gloria Kay (Vander Laan) Clark. She grew up in Olathe where she graduated from Olathe South High School in 2002. She was a member of New Life Community Church, Gardner, KS. Heather loved animals, especially her cat “Harry” and the horse she rode “Murphy.” She enjoyed individual sports. Team sports were not her choice as she always wanted to be the leader and so was known as “The Boss.” Heather loved helping and left an imprint of “Joy” wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father James. Heather is survived by her mother, Gloria, of the home; her Grandmother Dorthena Vander Laan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

My sincere condolences go to the family at this trying time. There is a Bible passage that comforts me greatly. Jesus promised he will resurrect our loved ones. John 5: 28 and 29. When earth becomes the place of peace Jesus talked about at Matthew 5:5, then we will live the promise of everlasting peace. Psalm 37:29. We have a promise from God at Revelation 21:3,4. There will be no more death and pain. There is more comfort to be read about in God's Word, the Bible concerning the resurrection and reuniting with our loved ones. May God’s peace be yours. Isaiah 26:4.

I wish to express my sincere condolences to the family of Heather for the loss. I remember her as a very active lady and jovial. We used to joke a lot with her. I will miss her. May she rest in peace.

My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of your dear Heather. May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. A scripture that has uplifted me during times such as this is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever after God restores his original purpose for the earth. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.
