Tressa I. Fletcher, 90, Paola, KS, formerly of Spring Hill, KS passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, KS (913-592-2244). Tressa was born August 30, 1928 in Bridgeport, IL to Neal and Golda I. (Bell) Clift. She moved to Kansas City, MO as a one year old child. Tressa married Clarence Fletcher on May 16, 1953 in Rosedale, KS. She moved to Huntington Beach, CA in the late 1950’s and came back to Johnson County, KS in 1973. She lived at Gardner Lake for a time, before moving to the farm in Spring Hill. While in California, Tressa was active in Boy Scouts as a Den Mother for her sons. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. As a homemaker, she loved to cook and raise a garden. Tressa was a member of the LDS Church, Paola, KS. She will be missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence, in 2014 and siblings: Ray “Bill” Clift, Geneva Tweedy, Betty Clift, Neal Clift, Mary Clift, Calvin Clift, and Virginia Bullard. Tressa is survived by her two sons: William Fletcher and wife Lisa, Osawatomie, KS and David Pope and fiancée Georgia, Paola, KS and two grandchildren: Chad Pope and Jessica Eslinger, 2 nieces: Joyce James and Carolyn Taylor, and special friend Regina McNamara.
