My mom was a strong and at times stubborn woman. This caused troubles between us when I was young. But as I became an adult, my mom became my best friend. Never once did she discourage me, and from college through graduate school and on to my life in Japan she always supported me and was always in my corner. While in japan, she became sick, and I rushed back to America to be with her. When I left, I told her to get well, because I still needed her in my life. We talked on the phone almost every morning as I walked to the school at which I taught in Japan. She always seemed happy to hear my voice, and I was always happy to tell her the events of my life abroad. Before she died, I was in Japan, and the biggest regret of my life is that I could not see her before she died; I could not tell her how much I love her and need her and will miss her. I wanted to be there with her, holding her hand, and letting her know she was not alone. What a terribly selfish son I was (and still am). I still need her in my life, even today. A world without her is not the same world. I struggle to go on without her. I appreciate those who have written their feelings on this website. I am sorry, but I do not share your religious sentiments. My mother is gone, and she only exists in our hearts and memories. I have been told she was proud of me, and I know she would want me to go on to still make her proud. I will do my best to do so.

Mom, I miss you, I love you, and I still need you. I know that you would not want me to live an unhappy life. I will do my best to lead a life that will continue to make you proud. Thank you for everything. Not a day will go by when I do not think about you and depend on your love and support.

To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Donna has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God's Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ. Your family has my deepest sympathy. I am so very sorry to learn of the loss of Ms. Donns, someone so beloved. I was thinking of something to say to ease the tremendous pain that your family is suffering. So I compiled this list of scriptures that is sure to bring you comfort in this difficult time: Psalms 55:22; Proverbs 3: 5 & 6; Isaiah 41:10; 2 Corinthians 1:3-7; James 4:8; and Revelation 21:4. Be strong. Cherish the memories. May the peace of God be with your family always. And, please, remember to call upon his name found at Psalms 83:18.

I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of Donna Buck. There will come a time when death and mourning will be no more. (Revelation 21:3,4) This is what our loving God, Jehovah, has promised. We also have the hope of seeing our loved ones again. (John 5:28,29) May those verses bring you some comfort in your time of mourning.
